Chase Chrisley Reveals Why He’ll Never Get Back Together With Emmy Medders

On Tuesday (September 5), Chase Chrisley joined his sister, Savannah Chrisley, on her Unlocked podcast – as he often does – to talk about life, work, and everything in between. While they discussed a lot on the podcast, the most notable topic of discussion was his recent breakup with Emmy Medders

The former couple went public with their relationship in the summer of 2020, but broke up in August 2021. They reconciled in April 2022 and got engaged in October 2022, but that engagement only lasted nine months. Rumors of another breakup began on July 25, 2023 and were confirmed by Chase later that day.

"Everybody has been asking a lot of questions regarding Emmy and myself. We both and [sic] agreed to part ways and move on with our lives separately. Thank you for respecting our privacy,” he wrote on his Instagram Story at the time – his rep added that Chase has ‘nothing but love and respect’ for Emmy.

In the weeks that followed, Chase Chrisley and Emmy Medders decided to keep their breakup as private as possible – neither of whom addressed it publicly. Even on Tuesday, when he addressed the breakup on his sister’s podcast, Chase declined to get into the specifics of why they broke up when they did.

He did, however, offer a vague description of why he has no regrets over the breakup and why there’s ‘not a chance in hell’ he ever gets back with her. He was very clear that neither party was perfect in their relationship, but alluded to some ‘dirty’ and ‘sh***y’ things that Emmy did while they were still together.

"Our entire relationship, it wasn't all bad times," the 27-year-old said on the podcast – adding that he’s doing good nowadays. "I mean, I've got a lot of s--- I'm dealing with, she's got a lot of s--- she's dealing with. She just chose to leave me while I was dealing with my s---, but we mutually agreed to part ways."

He went on to explain that there was ‘a lot of dirty s**t that went down’ and, while he wished it would’ve been handled differently, it wasn’t. He alluded to the ‘lack of respect’ in their relationships (on both sides of the equation). He admitted to making mistakes while with her, but clarified that he wasn’t the only one.

Chase Chrisley Doesn’t Think Emmy Medders is a ‘Bad Person’

While Chase Chrisley certainly didn’t hold back in his criticism over the relationship, he wanted to clarify that he doesn’t think Emmy Medders is a bad person and walked a tight line between not wanting to come across like he’s ‘sh***ing’ on her, while also being open about some of the ‘sh***y s**t that went down.’

"If [her family] needed me, I would be there for them. But if I don't have to be there in a room with them, I'm not going to. She still did some dirty s—,” he said to his sister. "Not a chance in hell. That would never happen because I've seen too much. I've seen true colors,” he said when asked if they would reconcile.

Despite the turmoil, he’s thanking God for helping him get over the hump. While he admits it was ‘rough there for a little while,’ he has since gotten over it and has even started dating again – something he confirmed in an interview with Extra a few weeks ago.  "I've already been on dates. I'm ready to go!"
