New Data Reveals the Happiest States in America

Happiness finds us through both internal and external factors. We have the power to influence by approaching situations with a positive attitude, surrounding ourselves with people we love, and engaging in activities that bring us joy. However, it’s more difficult to be happy in some states. High costs are stressing people out nationally, 75% of people polled said that skyrocketing prices have them feeling “very” or “moderately” stressed. Additionally, only 50% of respondents said they were “very satisfied” with their personal lives.

WalletHub has just completed research and collected data to determine which states have the happiest residents. They looked at over 30 key metrics to determine which external factors are influencing residents’ well being and satisfaction in life. These factors include the depression rate, the unemployment rate, share of adults who feel productive, income growth, and economic outlook across all 50 states.
