Hulk Hogan Got Married on September 22 But His Daughter, Brooke Hogan, Wasn’t There – Here’s Why

Hulk Hogan is officially a married man again. He and his third wife, Sky Daily, tied the knot on Friday (September 22) in a small wedding ceremony in Clearwater, Florida with most of his closest friends and family members in attendance. Of course, there was one person notably absent – his eldest daughter.

Brooke Hogan, 35, decided not to attend the wedding, which raised a lot of questions about her and her father’s relationship. With speculation at an all-time high over the weekend, Brooke decided to clear things up with a simple and to-the-point letter – which she posted on Instagram on Monday (Sept. 25).

She began her letter by stating how much she values her privacy, but felt the need to address all the speculation because ‘media outlets are making assumptions’ as to why she didn’t attend her father’s wedding. “Instead of leaving it to speculation, I decided it’s better to shut it all down here,” she wrote.

Brooke Hogan went on to explain how ‘the dynamics of a family unit continuously change over the years.’ It’s something all families experience at one point or another, and her family is no different – evidenced by her father, Hulk Hogan, getting married twice before his recent marriage to Sky Daily (a yoga instructor).

“With that being said, my family has experienced a LOT of change. With all of it happening in the public eye, I’ve had to learn how to best navigate those changes as they come, which has been difficult to say the least,” she continued – adding that she thought it was best to distance herself from family members.

As she continues down her own ‘journey to healing and happiness,’ she decided to ‘create some distance’ between herself and her family. Instead, she’s now ‘focusing on people and things that heal my heart and align with my own personal beliefs, goals, and values.’ She ended the letter by wishing her father well.

Hulk Hogan married his first wife, Linda Claridge, in 1983 and they share two children together – Brooke Hogan, who was born on May 5, 1988, and Nick Hogan, who was born on July 27, 1990. Linda filed for divorce in 2007 and he went on to marry Jennifer McDaniel in 2010 before getting divorced last year.

Brooke Hogan Has Supported Her Father in the Past

Brooke Hogan has had a complicated relationship with her father, Hulk Hogan, through the years. Their relationship was showcased in Hogan Knows Best – a reality TV show centered on the Hogan family. The show premiered in 2005 and ran for four seasons until its cancellation in 2007 – prior to his first divorce.

Brooke was the subject of a spinoff reality TV show titled Brooke Knows Best, which followed her journey towards adulthood. The show premiered in 2008 and ran for two seasons until being canceled in 2009. She started dating NFL center Phil Costa in 2013 and they got engaged before calling the wedding off.

Two years later, Hulk Hogan faced scrutiny after an audio transcript was released of him using racial slurs when talking about Brooke’s then-boyfriend. That audio resulted in him being parting ways with the WWE and resulted in a three-year suspension from the WWE Hall of Fame, but he was later reinstated in 2018.
