Joe Jonas and His Two Brothers Get Emotional While Performing ‘Little Bird’ Song

On August 19, Joe Jonas and his two brothers, Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas, took their ‘The Tour. FIVE ALBUMS. ONE NIGHT.’ to Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario. Known for putting on a memorable show for their fans, the brothers fielded a request from a loyal supporter who wanted them to sing ‘Little Bird.’

It was Joe who saw the fan’s sign in the crowd, which read “Dedicate Little Bird for My Angel in Heaven.” Joe asks her to walk up to the stage and says, “Well, I was singing earlier and I got choked up because I read the sign.” Her name was Magda, she was from Mexico, and her ‘Little Bird’ was named Valentina.

Joe proceeds to give her a hug before saying, “This one’s for Valentina, okay? She’s here with us tonight, for sure.” The brothers go on to perform an emotional rendition of the song, which was written as a tribute to their children and wanting what’s best for them – Kevin has 2 kids, while Joe and Nick have one each.

The performance was even more emotional for Kevin Jonas, who felt more connected to the fan (Magda) than anyone. For context, he shares two daughters with his wife, Danielle Jonas – their younger daughter is named Valentina. And in May, he posted a TikTok of Valentina saying ‘Little Bird’ is her favorite song.

Another fan-made video from the Toronto performance shows a different angle while Joe Jonas is talking to Magda. When she says her late daughter’s name is Valentina, Kevin walks away from the mic in disbelief with his hand on his heart. He was also seen wiping away tears while the brothers performed it.

The emotional performances continued on August 25, when the brothers took the tour to Wrigley Field in Chicago, Illinois. This time, they dedicated the ‘Little Bird’ song to a fan who lost her father. The fan’s name was Sasha and she had a sign requesting they sing the song for her father, Eduardo – so they did.

During the performance, Joe was singing the song with tears in his eyes. It’s these types of emotional connections that the Jonas Brothers make with their fans that make their shows and concerts so personal and memorable. We’ve all lost someone we love and can all relate to the lyrics in their ‘Little Bird’ song.

Joe Jonas Sings Love Letter to Sophie Turner Amid Divorce

The two performances outlined above came just days before TMZ reported that Joe Jonas was in the midst of filing for divorce from his wife, Sophie Turner. The reports were published on Sunday (Sept. 3) and were confirmed two days later when the divorce was filed in Florida's Miami-Dade County Court.

On Sunday night – hours after TMZ’s report went viral – Joe Jonas and his brothers took their tour to Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Many fans were unsure if he would sing their ‘Hesitate’ song – which was written as a love letter to Sophie. Sure enough, he performed it and he even wore his wedding ring for it.

The brothers had a few days off before their next performance, which saw them take over Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona. By then, the divorce had been filed and fans, again, were unsure if Joe would perform the song. Sure enough, he performed it – but this time, he wasn’t wearing his wedding ring.
