Pierce Brosnan is giving us all a lesson on how to be romantic – even after 22 years of marriage. The 70-year-old actor took to Instagram on Monday (September 25) to wish his wife, Keely Shaye Brosnan, a happy 60th birthday. He commemorated her diamond jubilee with an enormous bouquet of 60 roses.
“Sixty roses for my brown-eyed girl on her 60th birthday. Forever happy and blessed was I to be sitting there when you walked around the corner early one morning in Cabo San Lucas,” Pierce Brosnan wrote in the caption – sharing a photo of him and his wife embracing one another in front of the beautiful roses.
They met in Cabo San Lucas in 1994 – roughly three years after he lost his wife, Cassandra Harris, to ovarian cancer in 1991. Keely was a journalist at the time and was in Mexico to do an interview with Ted Danson. She ended up running into Pierce at a party and they went on their first date three days later.

Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Brosnan were together for 7 years before tying the knot at Ballintubber Abbey in Ireland on August 4, 2001. By that time, they had already welcomed their two children together – sons Dylan Thomas Brosnan, 26 (b. Jan. 13, 1997), and Paris Beckett Brosnan, 22 (b. Feb. 27, 2001).
The couple have now been together for 29 years and celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary earlier this year. “Thank you for always being up for this adventure called life,” Keely wrote in an Instagram post at the time. She also added the day they met (4-8-94) and the day they married (8-4-2001) in the caption.
Her praise for her husband continued even earlier this year when she wished him a happy 70th birthday on May 16. “Wishing you a blessed, bountiful and adventurous new trip around the sun. It’s not how old you are … it’s how bold you are in life. I love you with all my heart,” she wrote in the caption on Instagram.
Pierce and Keely have been one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples for more than two decades now. The couple never miss an opportunity to celebrate one another and have always showered each other with love, both publicly and privately – which is something we don’t see often in Hollywood these days.
Pierce Brosnan Poses With Son for New Fashion Campaign by Paul & Shark
When Paul & Shark – an Italian fashion and lifestyle brand – launched their Spring-Summer collection in February, it featured a wardrobe inspired by the relationship between father and son. They chose Mark Vanderloo and his son, Mark Vanderloo Jr., as feature models to help market the father-son campaign.
Last month, the company launched its Fall-Winter collection and chose Pierce Brosnan and his son, Paris Brosnan, as the featured models. A Father and Son Tale. Paul & Shark’s FW23 campaign takes Hollywood on a tour of Italian beauties, together with [Pierce] and [Paris]," they wrote on Instagram.
Their partnership with Paul & Shark comes just a few months after Pierce took to Instagram to praise his son, Paris, for graduating from Loyola Marymount University School of Film & Television. “Go into the world with a brave heart and create stories that will make the world a better place,” Pierce said of his son.
