Saint West – the 7-year-old son of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West – appears to be taking after his father and older sister, North West. He was walking into a restaurant with his mother and two of his friends on Friday (September 15) when he flipped off several members of the paparazzi on his way in.
The group had just gotten done with a basketball game – evidenced by Saint and one of his two friends still wearing their basketball attire. After flipping off the paparazzi, Saint looked back at his friends and laughed. One of his friends giggled at the gesture, while the other friend followed along and copied him.
It’s hard to tell if Kim saw his rude gesture, but she quickly covered his face and mouth in an effort to get him to behave – she also appeared to say ‘Stop’ before walking towards the restaurant. Saint wasn’t done, though. He flipped the photographer off once more – this time, Kim sternly said, “Hey, I saw that.”

TMZ was the first to report the incident – an incident they called funny. Other outlets – such as Page Six – were quick to note that Kim Kardashian scolded and chastised her son for the inappropriate gesture, but that was hardly the case (chances are she scolded him off-camera, but she barely reacted on-camera).
Of course, this isn’t the first time Saint West has flipped off cameras. In a video uploaded to TikTok by user @sxchaz in October 2022, Saint West was seen flipping off a passerby while playing with two other children – assumed to be his siblings – from the window of a hotel room during his visit to Paris, France.
TikTok users had mixed reactions to the incident – some people were calling it an ‘iconic’ moment, some people found it ‘rude’ and ‘distasteful’ of him, and others criticized the photographer for not respecting his privacy. No matter what way you look at it, children shouldn’t be taught or encouraged to flip people off.
Saint West Taking After His Sister and Father
Saint West being rude to members of the paparazzi isn’t too surprising – it’s something that appears to run in the West-Kardashian family. During the Season 1 finale of The Kardashians, Kim K talked about the difficulties she experienced while trying to take a family Christmas photo with her four children.
“Nobody gets along. Most of the photos I saw were unusable because North was sticking out her middle finger. It’s days like this when I really just need to lock myself in the room by myself for just a good 30 minutes. It’s just a lot being a mom,” Kim Kardashian said during a confessional on the reality TV show.
Her eldest child – daughter North West – has also made her feelings about the paparazzi known. In July 2022, she asked photographers why they harass her family all the time. She then held up a sign that read ‘STOP’ when photographers were taking photos of her and even ‘shushed’ a group of them a month later.
