It’s not every day that a 1-year-old toddler goes viral for a song he improvised with his ‘Lolo’ (grandfather) in the living room, but that’s exactly what happened to one little boy earlier this year when his grandfather posted a video of their jam session on TikTok for the entire world to see – and the world did, in fact, see.
97.4 million views, 16.2 million likes, 152,000 comments, 2.3 million shares, and nearly 600,000 shares – that’s what this little boy’s two-minute video has generated since it was published by his Lolo on July 16 (you can see the video below). Within days, the 1-year-old boy – Cameron – was an internet sensation.
Cameron is wearing a yellow Cars shirt, black pants, and blue socks in the video – his grandfather is playing the guitar by his side. We might not know what the lyrics are – we don’t even know if he knows what the lyrics are – but the passion and affection in his voice tell you everything you need to know.

Many people in the comments section were quick to point out how similar he sounds to Bon Iver, while other people said it sounded like the ending to a Frank Ocean’s Ivy song – he was also compared to Tame Impala, Pink Floyd, and Deftones. “Let me know when the album drops,” wrote one TikTok user.
On July 19 (just three days after the video was posted), the little boy’s mother posted an update – one that was a little disappointing, but didn’t change how much we all enjoy the video. She started the video off by thanking everyone for the ‘love and the funny comments’ before she revealed the big secret.
“I hate to disappoint you guys, but that little baby that you guys see in the video is not a little baby anymore – he’s actually going to be 8 years old on the 22nd of this month (July) and he’s a big boy now,” she said. “He’s still my baby, but he is a big boy – those videos are old, but we do have a couple more.”
Singing Baby’s Reaction When He Finds Out He Went Viral on TikTok
On July 21, just one day before the little boy’s 8th birthday, the singing baby’s mother posted a video of her breaking the news to her son that he went viral on TikTok – something she hadn’t told him yet. Since his birthday was coming up, she decided to surprise her son with the news as an early birthday present.
Prior to the big reveal, his mother talks about how she thinks it’ll be exciting for her son because he has always wanted to be a YouTuber. It’s something he expressed to his mother in the past and he apparently follows a lot of YouTubers – like any other kid in the world, he spends a lot of time watching YouTube.
Without any further delay, the mother walks into a room where her son – much older than he was in the initial viral video – is watching television in a bed. She asks him if he remembers the video of him singing his heart out as a toddler – which he does – before revealing that the video received millions of views.

When she says that he got 12.8 million views in just a few days, his eyes lit up and you could see the excitement building inside him. “How?” he says when he sees proof of his accomplishment. When asked how it makes him feel, his response was exactly what you would expect from him: “Can I be a YouTuber?”
