Former NFL coach Rex Ryan admits he recently left his wife sitting at an airport with their dogs and got on the flight they were supposed to get on together.
While a guest on the #Greeny podcast, Rex Ryan said he and his wife and their dogs were set to go on a couples vacation to Cancun when things took a turn for the worse while they were at the airport. As Ryan explained, when they got to the airport one of their dogs developed “a new cough.”
With the new respiratory illness in dogs going around, Rex’s wife thought it would be best that they took their dogs home. However, Rex had other plans in mind.
“So I did what every man who’s been married for 37 years would do,” Ryan said before ESPN analyst Domonique Foxworth chimed in, adding, “You packed up your stuff and went home and spent the week with your wife and your sick dog.”
But no, that’s not what Rex did. Rex finished his sentence, admitting, “No, of course not. I went down to Cancun…”
“I’m the third wheel on the thing, but I’m sitting back there and drinking beer and laying [down], having a good time in the ocean and enjoying the sun,” Rex continued. “Of course! That’s what every man would do who’s been married for 37 years!”
